What Do You Know About God?
Q: DOES GOD EXIST?
A: WE CAN SEE GOD IN ALL HE CREATED – We can see God in His creation. The earth is filled with His glory! Look around you. You can’t have a building without a builder; you can’t have a painting without a painter. If we follow this logic you can’t have a creation without a Creator.
Romans 1:20 – For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
Q: WHO AM I?
A: A PRECIOUS, LOVED CHILD OF GOD!
1 John 3:1 – See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!
Q: WHY AM I HERE?
A: GOD CREATED US FOR HIS GOOD PLEASURE – We were created by God to be like Him – to be light to the world and bring love.
Ephesians 2:10 – for we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Q: WHY IS THERE SUFFERING IN THE WORLD?
A: SUFFERING IS THE CONSEQUENCE OF SIN – When we chose to obey our own desires instead of God’s, sin and suffering entered the world. This was NOT God’s plan for us!!
Romans 5:12 – Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, Adam, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned.
Q: WHERE WILL I GO WHEN I DIE?
HEAVEN?
Philippians 3:20-21 – But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.
OR HELL?
2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 – He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the Gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of His power.
A: For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 3:23
Q: AM I GOOD ENOUGH TO GET TO HEAVEN?
A: NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU WORK; YOU CANNOT GET TO HEAVEN – Because of sin we all fall short of God’s gift. God’s gift is the mercy He gives to His people.
John 14: 6 – Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 3:36 – Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him.
Q: WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?
A: THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO BE SAVED: JESUS IS THE ANSWER! – God wanted so badly to restore us to Himself and cleanse us from our sin that He sent His only Son to get us! Jesus came, lived, was put to death and was raised from the dead. This is God’s way of giving us salvation.
Romans 10-9-10 – If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all righteousness.
Acts 3:19 – Repent then and turn to God so that your sins may be wiped out.
Acts 2:38 – Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the Holy Spirit.
Q: ISN’T CHRISTIANITY JUST ANOTHER RELIGION?
A: NO! In fact Christianity is not a religion at all! It is a relationship. The difference between Christianity and every religion in the world is that all religions are about man trying to reach up to God. Christianity is about God reaching down to man.
John 1:10-13 – He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
Q: HOW SHOULD I COME TO CHRIST?
A: IT’S NEVER TOO LATE! So…“come near to God and He will come near to you. Humble yourself before the Lord, and He will lift you up.” James 4:7, 10
Psalm 95:7 – He is our God and we are the people of His pasture, the flock under His care. Today, if only you would hear His voice.
COME AS YOU ARE. PRAY HONESTLY EXPECTING GOD’S RESPONSE.
